Really nice packaging design done by Imagemme Packaging Design.
“Inspired by food advertisements of the 1950s, our vision for Molly’s Milk Truck was clean, vintage design. Everything from the coffee cups to the truck itself had to resonate with a time where poodle skirts and milkshakes reigned supreme Started by two twenty-something year old’s, Molly’s Milk Truck is a true gem. Leaving corporate America behind, Hoda and Jason combined their business and culinary skills to form this food revolution known as Molly’s. The dream team stood behind their motto: If you haven’t found your passion yet - keep looking. Don’t settle, stay hungr. The logos already printed on the cup however, several stickers were designed to add a customized/personalized appeal to each package. They can be placed on the entire range of packaging from the cups, to sandwich boxes to bags.”

“Summer is not a temperature or some months of the year… it’s a state of mind…”
- James Jamo Coetzee
This little statement of my friend (which my hands, feet and I are still not convinced about) inspired today’s post. I’ll try anything to bring back Summer. So here is a little ray of Sun.

Keeping with current news, I decided to post this interesting project by Evan Stremke, Invitation to an Assassination
The ‘Invitation to an Assassination’ series examines how seemingly routine and casual occurrences can quickly become extraordinary events with a profound global impact the moment a powerful figure, whether it be a world leader or pop culture icon, is assassinated.
Some clever design hey? Go look at the posters and read the little description on the left to understand the design. Clever I say once again, clever.

I admire people who put the digital things aside and still get there hands dirty to make amazing things. This project was done by the amazing Studio on Fire. It is a Typography Poster for 2011 Artcrank - a show for bike people. They went and scavenged each part from On One Bike’s basement bike bone yard. After inking each part individually, they used the prints to create the type. It was plated in photo polymer and printed as a large format 20 x 26 letterpress print in 2 color on 100% cotton Crane Lettra.

I am not a fan of Winter. My friends know that as soon as Winter comes knocking on our doors and the colours and temperature start changing, my mood change as well - for the worst. So I am in denial and the next few post are going to be all about Summer. How great it is, how we should bring it back and all the wonderful things about it.
My first post is about how to bring Summer back. Grow some plants! Below is a little video by one of my favroutite designers/illustrators Erin Jang She did this video for the March 2011 ipad issue for Martha Stewart Living. They planted fast growing radish seeds and photographer Jonny Miller took a photo of the growing process every hour over eight days.
I still don’t know how to post videos, so here is the link to it.

A little something I made while there was nothing going on at work. I figured that maybe if I put in some effort and made my resolution pretty, I might stick to it.
with my diana of course
